CVF I

Vintage 2006

CVF I was formed when institutional capital rarely reached the Central Valley's businesses. We provided mezzanine capital for later-stage growth, acquisitions, management buyouts and recapitalizations. It invested mainly in the Central Valley and selectively across California, with a deliberate focus on Hispanic-owned and Hispanic-market businesses.

Focus: manufacturing, agricultural services, distribution and business services

CVF II

Vintage 2012

CVF II built on CVF I's base with larger positions and a greater share of each deal. It shifted toward acquisitions and management buyouts and became more involved in the companies it backed. It extended CVF's reach into the Pacific Northwest and widened its Hispanic-market and cross-border work.

Focus: manufacturing, healthcare, agricultural services, telecommunications, distribution and business services

CVF III

Vintage 2017

CVF III took the strategy across the Western U.S. It kept California at the core, deepened its Pacific Northwest presence and expanded selectively into the Intermountain West. Typical investments were $4–15 million in companies with $10–120 million of revenue. The investment period ended in 2024, and the fund is now focused on growing and exiting its portfolio.

Focus: manufacturing, business services, agricultural services, distribution and logistics, telecommunications, aerospace and healthcare

CVF RBIC

CVF RBIC is a dedicated rural fund investing in food and agribusiness companies across California and the Western U.S. It draws on the more than 20 years of CVF investing in the Central Valley and is a natural extension of our past strategies. It expects to make about 12–15 investments.
