Pacific Northwest
Washington and Oregon were ranked 8th and 18th, respectively, in a recent “Best States for Business” study by Forbes magazine. They were also classified among the top 10 for “Growth Prospects.” As in California, larger investment funds tend to focus on the urban markets in the Pacific Northwest and fail to adequately address the capital needs of lower-middle-market companies in less-urban areas. Consequently, CVF has observed a shortage of event-driven capital at the reasonable cost afforded by mezzanine securities.
CVF has invested in several companies in Oregon and Washington. In the process, the firm has developed a favorable market reputation and a broad deal network. CVF believes the Pacific Northwest represents a compelling market for small business growth and investment. Our experience in the region positions us well to partner with local entrepreneurs and help their businesses grow.
